I didn’t grow up thinking that I’d become an entrepreneur. Born in a small town in northeast Ohio, I grew up playing sports year-round.
Sports taught me that any worthy mission requires teamwork, communication, discipline, perseverance,
and patience - and the degree to which you execute across these principles considerably influences your chances of reaching your goals.
As a son to immigrant parents, I’m lucky to have had a firsthand chance to see what a spirit of hard work, honesty, and sacrifice can achieve.
The desire to find my best version, took me to play
soccer in the US National Youth Academy League, walk onto a Division I soccer program, and get invited to the Putnam Mathematical competition at Harvard University.
Post college, I joined JPMorgan Chase and had a chance to work with a brilliant team of data scientists, including the opportunity to work with (in my opinion) one of the smartest individuals, my former boss.
However, from the very beginning, I always knew I was going to go start my own thing, it was just a matter of when.
It didn’t turn out as I expected. The business itself did fine, but it didn’t work out between us partners. I could probably write a book on the lessons from this experience, but the challenges of building my first business would force me to speed up my own personal evolution.
After ultimately building my first viable business (and
a few life-defining moments), I found my sweet spot
in a cross-pollination of data, marketing, and technology.
Before launching Northpeak in late 2018, I spent a year and a half as an Entrepreneur-In-Residence at an early stage venture capital firm.
The opportunity to work at an early stage venture capital firm gave me the opportunity to work with exciting entrepreneurs and build relationships with innovative leaders.
Over the course of a year, I started seeing common obstacles and questions come up from founders, investors, and marketers.
Applying my user experience background, I’ve spent
the last eight years working with startups to Fortune 500 companies to help them make better business decisions using accurate data, design easy-to-understand user experiences, and leverage the evolving landscape of marketing, analytics, and technology.
